Sixth Form Life

Cheshire Studio School Sixth Form is linked in with Knutsford Academy Sixth Form which means students can also study a mixture of both A Level and BTEC options. All our Sixth Form students share the excellent facilities and enrichment opportunities available, including a common room with Starbucks, private study areas and different clubs and societies.

The uniqueness of the Studio offer in the Sixth Form is that students have the opportunity to study for vocational Level 3 courses, which prepare them for university, degree apprenticeships or employment. In recent years students have gone on to degree courses, degree apprenticeships and employment, and university scholarship, for example, finance degree at Durham University; degree apprenticeship in programming at Bentley Motors; and US University Soccer Scholarship

Employability and gaining working world experience is a key part of being a Sixth Form student in Cheshire Studio School with work experience opportunities and workshops delivered by our extensive network of business partners. First hand experience and insight into industry knowledge coupled with great academic results gives students a competitive edge when it comes to those all important job and university interviews.

Work Experience

The valuable work experience opportunities mean that all students Curriculum Vitae and personal statements stand out to employers. These are then complemented with live projects that students also work on with either business or community partners.

Personal Development PHSCE, UCAS and Careers Support

Cheshire Studio School students attend daily tutorials with their dedicated form tutor and access a full PHSCE programme. Individual UCAS and careers support is also on offer in order to help students progress to either higher education, apprenticeships or employment.
