A unique programme that combines a passion in football with academic progression.
Knutsford Academy - Cheshire County Champions 2016/17, 2017/18, finalists 2019/20* & 2021/22. Macclesfield & District Champions 2016/17. NWCSL 1st 2019/20*. NWCSL Champions 2021/22 (*Season suspended due to Covid-19).
The Football Academy was launched in 2016 and offers opportunities for 16-18 Year olds providing advanced football coaching together with excellent Sixth Form study options.
The Football Academy is for young local footballers with a passion for the game who will receive high level coaching lead by former professional players, including UEFA B qualified head coach Paul Butler. They will also study FA coaching qualifications and have the opportunity to assist with coaching the younger teams at the Academy. Competitive football games will be played at both an elite and recreational Level.
Together with the football, students will then choose an appropriate academic programme be it at A Level or BTEC and including sports focused subjects. Students will also receive specific support to develop a range of skills to help prepare them for the next step be it at university, an apprenticeship or employment in a range of careers. We also work closely with Soccer Scholar USA and have seen a number of students continue their studies in America on a scholarship.
