Students build on and embed the physical development and skills learned in KS 2, become more competent, confident and expert in their techniques, and apply them across different activities. They find out how performance can be more effective and apply this knowledge to their own and others’ work. They develop confidence and interest to get involved in physical activities out of school and will find out about the long-term health benefits of physical activity.
