At Knutsford Academy, our school values of ambition, respect and kindness are designed to actively promote and complement the five fundamental British values. They are:

· The rule of law

· Democracy

· Individual liberty

· Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

· Mutual respect

We teach our students the importance of being kind, compassionate and respectful to everyone that they meet, irrespective of their faith, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class or any other perceived differences.

Our school community is encouraged to embrace all that life in modern Britain has to offer and, therefore, we consider it essential for our staff to lead by example and exemplify and model British Values.

The poster above demonstrates how British values permeate every aspect of school life.

World Religion Day

World Religion Day takes place each January, aiming to promote understanding and peace between all religions as well as mutual understanding and tolerance between peoples from different backgrounds. World Religion Day 2025 takes place on Sunday, 19 January and will be our Theme of the Week (alongside British Values) between 13th and 17th January.

During each key religious festival, we share a list of students from that faith with staff and encourage conversations around celebrating our diverse community.
