Careers Education at Knutsford Academy

At Knutsford Academy, careers education and guidance are central to our ethos of ambition, kindness and respect. We provide a comprehensive programme for all students in Years 7–13, helping them explore pathways that match their interests, skills and aspirations. Using the Gatsby Benchmarks as our framework, we ensure equal opportunities, challenge stereotypes, and celebrate diversity. Careers support is delivered through PSHCE, dedicated guidance from our Careers Lead, and independent advice from our on-site Careers Advisor. Students and parents can access information and guidance via our school website, at key events, including Options and Post-18 Pathways evenings, or by arranging individual appointments

Support from our Careers Adviser

Students have the opportunity to meet with our Careers Adviser, Mrs Pickford, and discuss on an individual basis the support they need with their decision making, career planning and develop an action plan outlining the steps they need to take to achieve their goals.  Mrs Pickford is also available to talk with parents to discuss any queries they may have regarding career pathways and the wide range of opportunities available to students.
