Sixth Form in the Studio School

The Studio school provides a range of Business and Creative options that have a focus on preparing for the working world, or progressing to higher education. Further details on the subject options are available from the Curriculum menu.

The uniqueness of the Studio offer in the Sixth Form is that students have the opportunity to study for vocational Level 3 courses, which prepare them for university, degree apprenticeships or employment. In recent years students have gone on to degree courses, degree apprenticeships and employment, and university scholarship, for example, finance degree at Durham University; degree apprenticeship in programming at Bentley Motors; and US University Soccer Scholarship

Employability

Employability and gaining working world experience is a key part of being a Sixth Form student in the Studio with work experience opportunities and workshops delivered by our extensive network of business partners. First hand experience and insight into industry knowledge coupled with great academic results gives students a competitive edge when it comes to those all important job and university interviews.

Work Experience

The valuable work experience opportunities mean that all students Curriculum Vitae and personal statements stand out to employers. These are then complemented with live projects that students also work on with either business or community partners.

Sixth Form Life

The Studio Sixth Form is linked in with Knutsford Academy Sixth Form which means students can also study a mixture of both A Level and BTEC options. All our Sixth Form students share the excellent facilities and enrichment opportunities available, including a common room with Starbucks, private study areas equipped with Apple Macs and Office 365, and different clubs and societies.
